Jane Reynolds's Weekly Blog – 10th June 2012

It’s been an interesting week.

There’s a saying: When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

I can vouch for that being true. Several times in my life when I’ve needed guidance or advice someone’s shown up at exactly the right moment and been able to help me out.

My current dilemma is that I need to ‘find’ some time. Virtually every minute of every day is earmarked, and it only takes one little thing to happen unexpectedly for everything to be thrown off course.

Unfortunately, something DOES happen unexpectedly – every week  so I’m constantly having to play catch up. It all revolves around having to get my Soapy Corners out on time. The logistics are quite tricky to manage, and it’s got even tougher since I started Carla Corner too.

When you can’t see the wood for the trees it sometimes takes another person to help lead you through it, and one of my Twitter friends @roogreen kindly offered me the benefit of her experience this week. We met for coffee on Thursday, and to say it helped was an understatement! Her comments and suggestions have given me a whole new perspective on everything.

Putting them into practise means a radical change to the way I write my blogs though, and I don’t know whether it’ll actually work in reality, but I’m certainly going to give it a try.

You might notice a few subtle changes to this weeks’ posts, but you’ll certainly notice when I make the ‘big’ changes and I’ll be grateful for any feedback you have.

That’s it for today. Watch this space …

    Here’s some “feedback”.

Stop spending hours upon hours writing all this stuff and get on with the books and other things you keep going on about but haven’t done anything with. Stop wasting your time!

Ha ha! Thanks for that. I suspect you’re someone who knows me in some way? It’s a shame I don’t have a proper name/email address to reply to so I’m having to do it here. I hear you, ok. :-)
