As I looked out of the window to take my Sunrise Over Swindon photo I noticed that they’d put the Christmas tree up outside the Outlet Village across the road too. I’m not sure what this Christmas will bring for my family this year though, as my dad’s not had much of a week – again.
It’s been such a busy week for me that I didn’t do a thing on my tax stuff, but I’m all geared up for it this coming week as I’ve been coming in extra early so that I can get this week’s blog done and dusted today.
I’ve been going to the gym too, but not just trotting on the treadmill, oh no! I’ve got myself a personal trainer too, as I’ve decided I needed to invest a bit of money (and a lot of time) to get myself ‘fit for life’.
As someone who spends the bulk of their days sitting in front of a screen and is very aware of how they’re ‘getting older by the day’; trying to stay fit has started to feel more and more important to me.
Four weeks in and I’m starting to notice a difference. Although I’ve actually gained weight (sobs), my shape is changing, and my aim is to be able to get my jeans on again within the next two weeks (something I haven’t been able to do for nearly two years). I’m only about 5 lbs away from achieving my goal, but no matter what I do I just can’t seem to shift it. Ridiculous, aye?
Anyway; a side effect of all the exercise is that I’ve suddenly got loads of energy, and am also back to my usual ‘early bird’ self and finding it easy to get out of bed while it’s still pitch black outside!
There’s a special competition on my Corrie Corner and Carla Corner posts this week, as I’m proud to announce that they’ve been selected to feature the inaugural advert by Coronation Street’s new sponsors Comaprethemarket.com.
I’ll be giving away three meerkat toys as part of the promotion, so look out for tweets on that from Wednesday onwards(@janereynolds8) to be in with a chance of winning (UK only, sorry)!
Right. Lots to do. Better get on. Have a good week and I’ll see you all next week.
PS ‘Jane’s Soapy Corners’ have not only gone live, they’ve also digital. Simply download the Podcasts App onto your iPhone or iPad then search for Tellyspy and they’re all there as podcasts!
‘Jane’s Soapy Corners’: 6.00-6.30 pm every Wednesday night on Tellyspy.
There’s also my regular Thursday radio shows (10.45-11.15 am) and Friday (4.00-5.00 pm) on Swindon 1055.com, where I give my Harry-Hill-ish observations and opinions on all the best (and more importantly, the worst) bits of what’s going on in Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders.
